Terms & Conditions

Yes, I know this is the boring page.....but this is probably the most important page to pay attention to. So please read through this page (especially if it's your first time using our service) and make sure you're happy with our T's&C's before commencing with your order.

If there's something on here that isn't clear, please don't hesitate to get in touch and we'll be more than happy to clear up any uncertainty you have.

We/Us/Our = Makin'Trax

You/Your = Customer

Liability

  • Makin'TraX has public liability insurance. This can be viewed upon request.

  • Makin'TraX accepts no liability for injury or damage to persons/pets/property when their vehicles are at the customers events.

  • While care is taken to ensure that the vehicles are in good condition and safe for customers to approach, the vehicles are still military spec. This means that there may be sharp edges or trip hazards in the vehicles. this is because we try to keep the vehicles as original as possible to try and get the full experience.

  • Any damages done to Makin'TraX equipment or vehicles while at the customers event will be paid for by the customer. This price will include parts and labour.

  • Makin'TraX vehicles are fitted with recording equipment for safety purposes. This footage can be used if a legal despute needs to be settled. These can be turned off at the customers request, but a waiver form will need to be signed first.

  • Makin'TraX will supply the minimal safety equipment required to ride within the vehicles. Any customer who refuses to wear the equipment without a legitimate reason will be refused entry to the vehicles without a refund.

Payments and Refunds a

  • Payments can be made either in one lump sum, or in a few smaller payments. But payment must be completed before the event day.

  • Any damages that are to be paid to Makin'Trax will need be made within 7 working days of damage invoice being sent.

  • If payments are not received by the allotted time, a fine of £100 will be added to the bill with a reminder that payments need to be made within 7 working days.

  • If payments still haven't been made, then legal action may be taken. These legal fees will be charged to the customer. This will mean that payments will include parts and labour/£100 late payment fine/legal fees.

  • If circumstances prevent payments from being made, then customers need to contact bookings@makintrax.co.uk as soon as possible so an alternative payment plan can be arranged.

  • If you decide you want to cancel your booking with us, then a full refund (minus 10% administrative fee) will be made if cancellation is done at least 72 hours before your booked time. (eg. booked time 8am Saturday, so cancellation before 8am previous Wedensday)

  • A cancellation made between 72 hours and 48 hours prior to your booking will receive a 50% refund.

  • A cancellation made between 48 hours and 24 hours prior to your booking will receive a 25% refund.

  • Any cancellation made within 24 hours of your booking will receive no refund.

  • If we are unable to attend your booking due to an issue our end (i.e. vehicle breakdown, staff unavailable, etc), we will offer you either another available booking slot free, or a total refund (minus 10% administrative fee). We will contact you immediately via the contact details you provide if we encounter an issue.

Customers responsibility

  • When booking a vehicle, the customer will need to ensure that there are no obstacles in the way on approach to their event (i.e weight limits, height limits, road closures, etc)

  •  If a detour is required, then the customer must inform Makin'TraX during the booking process.

  • If a detour is required, and the customer didn't inform Makin'TraX prior to the event date, then an additional payment may be charged to the customer to cover extra running costs.

  • We ask that customers provide access to toilets and clean water for Makin'TraX staff while they are at your event. (Especially during hot/dry weather.)

  • In the case of really hot weather, we ask customers to provide somewhere for Makin'TraX staff to take shelter from the sun as these vehicles do not have air conditioning or cooling features.

  • The customer is to make sure that the area they want our vehicle to park on is suitable. (i.e. it can handle the weight of the vehicle, can handle tracks turning on it)

  • Customers will need to follow instructions by Makin'TraX staff with regards to the vehicles. Failure to do so may result in being turned away form the vehicle or the event being cut short.

  • Organisers of events must willingly give Makin'TraX any information that is required to ensure a safe and enjoyable event.

  • Important information withheld from Makin'TraX could potentially put either Makin'TraX staff or the public at risk. This will then be the organisers responsibility if something goes wrong.

Makin'Trax responsibility

  • We will try to keep the customer updated if issues arise by means of customers preferred mode of communication regarding their booking.

  • We will treat customers fairly and be respectful at all times.

  • Any complaints made to Makin'TraX will be handled with the seriousness it deserves.

  • We will offer the customers free advice regarding concerns about their bookings to ensure that they can get the most enjoyment out of their booking.

  • We will endeavour to inform customers about safety regarding our vehicles and equipment to try and avoid any accidents happening.

  • At public events, we will do our best to ensure that the vehicles are safely parked and that no harm should come to members of the public.

  • We will ask and seek out any information that we deem as necessary to ensure that any public/private events we attend will be safely done.

  • Public safety comes first.

Privacy and Data handling

  • Makin'Trax does not sell customers private data to third party interests.

  • Any customers payment data is held until the booking has been completed. And as long as no issues arise or extra payment is due, it is then permanently deleted from our records.

  • Customers invoices (which may include information like names/addresses/email/costs), will be held in our records for up to 1 year. This will be for accounting reasons.

  • Customer invoices will be stored digitally on a secure portable hard drive and as paper copies.

  • Unless needed for criminal/legal reasons, video footage recorded on our vehicles will be left to be over written.

  • Customers can request that recording equipment be turned off if they do not wish for their event to be recorded. This will require a waiver to be signed first.

  • Any waivers that have been signed will be attached to the invoicing records for that customer. They will then be destroyed at the same time as the invoices.

  • Makin'TraX does use social media for promotional purposes. Details of your event will not be posted online unless you give Makin'TraX permission first.

  • Makin'Trax gives permission for their vehicles to be posted on social media for promotional purposes. Permission must be obtained before Makin'TraX personnel can be put online.
